On Friday the sun was shining, we had the day off and wanted somewhere to go for a stroll with our weekend visitors. We chose to head east along the coast to the Gosford Estate near Aberlady. It is a private estate but you can pay £1 for a day’s pass to take a walk around the grounds. We followed the walk that had previously appeared in the Scotman. There was plenty to see and photograph on our relaxed meander. The pools provided some lovely views as well as plenty of wildlife.
The geese and goslings were out for a wander too!
The House itself was a fantastic surprise to see as we stubbled through the woods.
And I particularly liked this sulky fellow, ‘guarding’ the entrance.
